Have You ‘Been Born’ Again?

Are you a ‘Born Again’ Christian? Do you know what it means to be ‘Born Again’?

To be born again is to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. To ‘leave’ your old life behind and ‘start’ a new one.

Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.” Luke 17:33

He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.” Matthew 10:39

In the previous two verses Jesus is saying that if you choose to stay in your old ways (your old life), you will lose it for the wages of sin is death. But if you lose your life (your old ways), you will have eternal life through Jesus Christ.

“Being born again, not of corruptible (perishable) seed, but of incorruptible (imperishable), by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever.” 1 Peter 1:23

Jesus said, “Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Sprit is spirit.” John 3:5,6

Jesus is telling you to leave your old ways behind. Follow Him and be ‘Born Again’ in the Spirit. If you are not born again, then you are living your life in the flesh and your fruits are of the flesh. (See Galatians 5:19-21. Read my previous post titled ‘Are Your Fruits Good or Bad‘).

If you choose Christ as your Lord and Savior you will be born again, you will be living your life in the Spirit and your fruits will be of the Spirit. (See Galatians 5:22,23. ‘Are Your Fruits Good or Bad‘).

But realize that it won’t be easy transitioning into your new way of life. You will face struggles. The old ways of your life will still exist until you fully destroy them by living in the Spirit. You must not let the fruits of the flesh take hold again.

“And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections (it’s passions) and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” Galatians 5:24,25

“That if thou shalt confess with they mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13

So, are you ready to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? Are you ready to crucify the flesh and it’s bad fruits? Are you ready to be filled with the Spirit of God? If so, then say The Salvation Prayer OUT LOUD and “sincerely from the bottom of your heart”.

Dear God, I come to You as a sinner and I am truly sorry for my sins. Come into my heart. Forgive me of all my sins. Wash me, cleanse me and set me free. I believe that Jesus is Lord. I believe You raised Him from the dead, and I believe He is coming back again. I ask Jesus to come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. From this moment on I receive Jesus into my life and I decide to live for You and no longer for myself, to do Your will and not mine. Take control of my life from this day forward. Fill me with the Holy Spirit to help me obey You and guide me. Thank You Lord Jesus for saving me and cleansing me with Your precious blood. In Jesus name, Amen.

The Salvation Prayer

If you have not accepted Jesus Christ into your life as your personal Lord and Savior and have not been born again, then I ask you to accept Him now by saying this simple prayer below. You must say it OUT LOUD and mean it from the bottom of your heart.

Dear God, I come to You as a sinner and I am truly sorry for my sins. Come into my heart. Forgive me of all my sins. Wash me, cleanse me and set me free. I believe that Jesus is Lord. I believe You raised Him from the dead, and I believe He is coming back again. I ask Jesus to come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. From this moment on I receive Jesus into my life and I decide to live for You and no longer for myself, to do Your will and not mine. Take control of my life from this day forward. Fill me with the Holy Spirit to help me obey You and guide me. Thank You Lord Jesus for saving me and cleansing me with Your precious blood. In Jesus name, Amen.

You are now a born again Christian. A follower of the Jesus Christ. May the Lord bless you and guide you through your new journey. Be baptized in the Lord.

Are Your Fruits Good Or Bad?

What kind of fruits are you producing? Are you producing fruits that are good for your soul or are you producing fruits that are bad and rotten to your core?

You’ve heard it said, “You will know them by their fruits…” Matthew 7:16, but do you really know what it means? It’s really simple to know your fruits.

When the bible talks about the bad fruits, it is talking about the Fruits of the Flesh which are:

  • Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings… Galatians 5:19-21

When the bible talks about the good fruits, it is talking about the Fruits of the Spirit which are:

  • Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance…. Galatians 5:22-23

Its obvious that it’s better to walk in the Spirit than to walk in the flesh. For those who walk in the flesh will not inherit the kingdom of God.

“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.” 1 Corinthians 6:9-10

So fill yourself with the Fruits of the Spirit and eradicate the Fruits of the Flesh.

 

Who is God?

He is light“This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” 1 John 1:5

He is peace“Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.” 2 Corinthians 13:11

He is merciful“Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.” Psalm 116:5

He is forgiving“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

He is kind“But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.” Luke 6:35

He is good“And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.” Ezra 3:11

He is faithful“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Deuteronomy 7:9

He is love… “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”  1 John 4:8

He is giving“But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.” James 4:6

He is also much more than all of the above.
